TLDR : Answer Summary
After submitting the Digital Arrival Card application, users typically receive a confirmation email almost immediately. However, it is not necessary to show this email upon arrival in Thailand as immigration officials can access the application information linked to your passport. Some travelers have reported being asked for the email during check-in at their departure airport, but generally, it's not required when entering Thailand.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Just some feedback to all the helpful contributors…..

I have just arrived in Chiang Mai. …on retirement visa.

Immigration did the usual check of the passport….took a photo and fingerprint ….and then stamped the book..

They didn’t ask to see anything at all.

Thanks for all the help.

@Geoff ******
for arrivals its on the immigration officers computer screen so no need to see a hard copy 🙏

@John *******
Correct, but Gatwick wanted to see the copy. No big deal if I hadn't had it though. I don't think they would have stopped me flying.

It is registered on passport. It you not have it you need do it there..and delay all que.. They should send person back of line again

Just came in this morning. No questions asked, no need to show my tdac, nothing even mentioned. Just do it.

I should say I captured a screen shot and had it at hand…just in case ….

thanks Dick…I did it now….so you just walked up to the counter showed your passport and that was it….

What airport…?

I’m going Chiang Mai.

@Michael *****
I’ve come in several times. All I did was show my passport. Each time at BKK.

If you want to feel reassured, just screenshot the area showing the QR code and some of the boxes below showing your name, passport number, etc and keep it in your photos on your phone. You’ll be fine because it’s all in their system and related to your passport number. Cheers!

it's an arrival card. There's nothing to question. By switching to digital format immigration no longer needs to enter the data. When you present your passport the computer brings up the information. The officer can see that you have submitted.

My friend applied with my help in the UK and the email arrived 3 hours later. Yes, it was the official site!

The TDAC sends an email to you the second you submit it

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹…..?

No, you do not have to show it when you arrive, they can see when they scan your passport as you go to stamp in if you've done one or not

My last entry to Thailand In mid May I was asked to produce the email to the Immigation Officer. Best to be prepared.
Tod *********
@Philip ******
that's only because they just started it May 1st. Now they can tell when they scan your passport to stamp you in if you have one filed or not and will send you to the kiosks to file one if you don't

BUT

I will agree there is no down side to printing it out 🙂

I did feel the IM had some attitude on the day. I also had an eVisa. She wanted to see that too. Lucky I had one i think. Mostly I rely an a visa exemption.
Tod *********
@Philip ******
the eVisa you should always print because that PDF is your visa now.

The TDAC I think it was just because it was a new thing and they were working the kinks out of the system
