If anyone has flown with ITA from Madrid to BKK, did you need to show your 60 day visa to be able to board? We're going for 40 days.

I was wondering the same! Good question Jo. Wether anyone had actually been refused boarding, it's a question that the airline won't answer. And AI says that it doesn't have the sats. 3 ways to go, hope the visa comes, flight to Cambodia or take a chance 😊 I'm taking the fingers crossed, legs crossed approach for now. Waiting for the visa xx

If your asking what happens if your visa doesn't arrive before you check in for your flight you really need to ask the airline. They may require you to purchase a ticket out of Thailand within the time you get stamped in for, but a cheap ticket to a nearby country should suffice

- this is the problem. We're flying with ITA from Madrid and our friends are flying with KLM from Leeds, neither airline can give us a clear answer. They say it's down to the check in staff on the day. They've also suggested us contacting the Thai Embassy in Madrid, which I already did, but the Embassy can't answer for the airline. We're going around in circles.

If the visas don't come through, we'll just buy a cheap flight for halfway through the holiday and get our extensions done in Chai Chet when we're there.

you won't be able to buy any ticket to Cambodia other than a flight. Land borders are still completely closed

Jo Taylor bus tickets to Cambodia are COMPLETELY USELESS because all land borders to Cambodia are closed. If you ask your bus driver to cross the border, you will get shot dead

Jo Taylor that's risky. Not every airline accepts bus- or train tickets. You need to mail them and ask

Graham - the airline cannot answer us. They said it's down to the check in staff on the day. Obviously, that was the first place I asked.
