Visa advice married couple -retirement visa - do we BOTH need to show the 65000 regular or 800000 balance income or as a couple or

Do we need to show this amounts individually
Answer summary
For a retirement visa in Thailand, both spouses who are over 50 years old typically need to demonstrate financial stability individually, meaning each must show a minimum of 800,000 THB in their Thai bank accounts for their 1-year extension of stay. However, during the initial application for a 90-day Non-Imm-O retirement visa, proof of income or equivalent funds in their home bank accounts can be used, but ideally, this should be in each individual's account. There are some exceptions based on local immigration policies, but the general consensus among expats is that maintaining separate financial proof is required.

As a foreign married couple, you both need to be over 50 years old and each one of you needs a minimum of 800,000 THB on your Thai bank account, matured for 2 months, for the application the 1-year extension of stay.

For the application to the initial 90-days Non-Imm-O Retirement Visa through the e-visa online system, you however can use an original proof of income OR the equivalent of 800,000 THB on your home bank account - also each one of you

Greg Slack no more "following" possible, unless the Thai embassy is willing to accept it. If not, then each one of them needs to apply for his/her own visa and the subsequent extension of stay. This means proof of deposit at least for the first one-year extension of stay
