Hello. I am here on a 60 day visa i got in Canada.
I arrived March 19. I am stamped to stay until May 17.
I have a flight that has not been cancelled YET that is booked for May 16.
Can I go ask for a 30 day extension even if I may not need?
If they gave me the extension would it be 30 days on top of the 60 days i already have? Eg allow me to stay until June 16 appox.
I am staying at a Thais home in Korat Does this make any difference for me?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a 60-day visa obtained in Canada, set to expire on May 17. They are inquiring whether they can request a 30-day extension early, despite not needing it yet, and whether this extension would extend their stay until June 16. Various comments suggest that it may be more prudent to request the extension closer to the expiration date, especially considering the current COVID-19 situation which may affect service availability.
