I have a question regarding tourists from Belgium and the Netherlands.
If they do not apply for a visa in their country, will they get a 30 days visa exemption, or a 30 days visa?
And would they be able to get a 30 day extension in either case?
My mom and friend are planning to visit for a minimum of 60, maximum of 90 days.
Applying for a visa in the Netherlands or Belgium gets more and more complex.
Thanks for your advice!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Tourists from Belgium and the Netherlands can enter Thailand under the visa exemption and receive a 30-day stamp upon arrival. They can extend their stay for an additional 30 days by applying at a local Thai Immigration office, totaling 60 days. For a stay of 90 days, they would need to apply for a Thai Tourist Visa before traveling, which provides an initial 60 days plus a possible 30-day extension.

Both Belgium and the Netherlands will receive a stamp on arrival in Thailand for 30 days. Plus they can go to the local Thai Immigration office and apply for the 30 days extension of stay. Total of 60 days.
IF they want to stay 90 days they will need to get the Thai Tourist Visa from their Thai Embassy or Consulate. That gives them 60 days on arrival plus One 30 day extension of stay.
IF staying LONGER in Thailand, get the METV multiple entry tourist visa in your home country from the Thai Embassy or Consulate. With planning it can get you up to 9 months stay in Thailand with a couple simple land border bounces.
Remember the Day you arrive into Thailand counts as DAY #1.
