#Non-OA (Retirement) Dependent Extension

1. Does a Non-OA (Retirement) Dependent/wife extension holder age 50+ need an Insurance policy for their upcoming extension.

2. If the Dependent Extn. holder need an insurance policy, Do they forced to obtain a new Non-OA Retirement under 800K baht law OR there are no such thing as Non-OA Dependent extension anymore for the 50+

Thanks in Advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion addresses whether a Non-OA (Retirement) dependent over the age of 50 is required to have health insurance for their visa extension. Multiple comments confirm that health insurance is necessary for both the Non-OA visa holder and their dependents. Alternatives to remaining on the Non-OA status, such as converting to a Non-O visa without insurance requirements, are also mentioned.

Of course you could choose to leave your OA status and obtain Non O with extension for retirement as explained before by
@Tod ********
. No health insurance required with Non O status.

What would be an alternative option for a dependent holder ? 800k for in the bank is not a problem but for a dependent 50+ if another 800k needed to be add in + boths annual Insurance policy, the whole implement is not attractive for retires at all.

As well as you as Non Immigrant O-A visa holder and your dependent need to have a health insurance. Immigration use this list as recommended insurance companies: I would say, take your time to pick the best for your situation:
