Thanks for all the info on this group, it has answered most of my questions about going for an extension of temporary stay. We are an Australian family and arrived in Phuket on a visa exemption.

In the info sheet provided in this group it states you can't wear shorts. My husband and 2 teenage boys have dress shorts and closed in shoes and appropriate shirts but no long pants to wear to the office. Do they need long pants?

If so, I'll book them in for a shopping trip. They won't be excited but I will be, ha ha ha! 😁

We will be going to one of the Phuket offices, looks like we should book the appointment online. I've found the site and link to "Queue Online" just haven't tried to do it yet. Do you recommend this and shall I make 4 appointments?

Shorts for men are fine. You can book an appointment but these days as long you don’t arrive for 8:30 or 1 pm there won’t be much queue.

You can do an extension in Phuket Town, Patong beach office or Blue Tree Water Park

Don't bother with appointment for Phuket. They don't use it. Just go to Patong office, very relaxed, 20 to 30 minutes or so.

What you describe is fine. I think the "dress appropriately" advice is geared more towards those who wear flip-flops, beach shorts, and T-Shirts which say "bad boys go to Pattaya"
