TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for proof of onward travel when entering Thailand on a visa obtained from a consulate may vary. While it is not universally enforced, immigration officers can request proof of funds, accommodation, and onward travel, especially for travelers with a history of using tourist visas or visa-exempt entries. Ultimately, it is at the officer's discretion.
We can not tell you. Immigration is allowed to ask proof of funds, 20.000 Thb or equivalent currenty, proof of accommodation and onward travel. with 35 million arrivals a year a few people get asked. Mostly those who have a longer history of Tourist Visa or Visa Exempt Entries to stay longer in Thailand. It is all up to the Immigration Officer at the moment you hand over your passport.
Robert Lagas - Thx for your prompt response. I ask this question in the event that i don't get a 30 day extension after my 60 day SETV. I plan to go to the Philippines at the end of my Visa stay, so I can schedule my airline ticket for a flight after 60 or 90 days.
