Do I need to worry about my 90-Day report while I'm out of Thailand on a retirement visa?

I am on the retirement visa. I left Thailand about a month ago to spend two months in USA. I just received a reminder that my 90-Day report is due November 22. I will still be in USA. I am correct that I do not need to worry about this at all, right? Not sure why Immigration sent it to me. They should know l left the country.
Answer summary
If you are on a retirement visa and leave Thailand, you do not need to worry about your 90-Day report while abroad. This reporting system does not track your departure and is not linked to current immigration data. Upon your return to Thailand, your 90-Day reporting period will start fresh.

and if you do try to do the 90 day report online while you're out of the country you get rejected with this in the email

It's an auto reminder from your last online report which does not know you've left as it not synched with the Immigration database

Like the other posters mentioned, when you go through immigration, that’s a report in its self.

The 90 day report is to know that you’re OK, you’re whereabouts in the country, etc.

So, when you present at immigration, those questions are answered.

When you return, you’re on the 90 day clock again.

James Allen going through immigration isn’t a 90 day report.

If this helps your simple mind then that’s OK but it’s not correct

Yes, you can ignore it. That system isn't linked to any system that knows you left Thailand. When you return, you start counting again from day 1.
