Do I need to report in person for my first 90-day report after renewing my extension of stay in Thailand?

Hi guys.

Okay so have previously and successfully done the online 90 day reporting.

However, my report is due on the 10th of Jan and I’ve been trying since the 27th without success. It keeps telling me to report and not getting passed the first page.

The only things that’s changed in between my last online 90 day report and now is I got a new 12 month extension of stay on the 16th December and also a new renewal of work permit.

Do I have to go again in person for the first 90 day report following a renewal of extension of stay? Or has the date changed and is 90 days from date of my renewal of extension of stay?

Appreciate the answer in advance and hope you all have a great 2021.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing issues completing their online 90-day reporting after receiving a new extension of stay and work permit. They are unsure if they need to report in person for the first report following the renewal, as they have successfully reported online in the past. Several commenters suggest that due to the recent changes (like the extension), an in-person report may be necessary, especially since others have experienced similar problems with the online system.

Yours, mine and seemingly many others have had online reporting issues over the last 6 to 10 weeks.

Online usually works fine for me but in the end I had to go in person to report.

It was my first 90 day report on a new extension.

Just go in person. I had to. And I had been doing my report online for years with no problem. Remember TIT.

When I reapply for my retirement extension they automatically do a 90-Day Report for me. They don't say anything, but when I pick-up my passport the next day there's a new 90-Day Report Notification stapled into the back of my passport. This is in Phuket.

It could be first 90 day report after renewal has to be done in person. Just what I read somewhere else

If it's telling you to report in person, you can either keep trying, or just report in person.

Thanks Ben. Why though? I’ve previously and successfully done online. Is the new extension of stay the reason? Has the 90 day report date changed from 90 days from the date of my new extension? Or is my due date still as before?

As much as I'd like to give you an answer, nobody knows why sometimes the 90 day report stops working for a person :(

Cheers Ben, so the 90 day online not working, take that out of the equation. Do you know, does the 90 days reset when you get a new extension of stay to 90 days from the date of extension? This may explain why it’s not working?
