Hello the group,

I renew my passport lately and i'll apply for my next 1 year extension next week.

My question is about the app Section 38: do i have to update it since there is my old passport number? Or is it unnecessary?

TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has recently renewed their passport and is preparing to apply for a one-year visa extension. They are questioning whether they need to update Section 38 because their old passport number is listed. Responses from the community suggest that they should take their new passport to the immigration office and ask about transferring the extension to their new passport, mentioning that updates can also be done during the extension process.

ask your immigration office what to do with it when you go there for your extension, it's next week anyway

As you have a new passport, you need to take it to your Thai immigration office and ask them to transfer your current extension of stay into your new passport.

1year extension as every year. But in my section 38 (that replace tm30) there is my old passport number. Is it logical that i have to update it with my new passport number?
