Specific question for Chiang Mai Immigration: Can anyone confirm when applying for 1st visa extension based on retirement, if my bank book has to be updated the day of application or can be updated the day before? Thank you.

My understanding is that for your bank letter and statement, the 1 weel rule applies. The bank book is however different. My problem is finding a Kasikorn bank with the necessary machine to update my bank book that is open early. The only ones I can find are in malls which open at 10.00. Any suggestions?

Speaking from my experience as I did extension base on marriage with CM immigration. In order to update bookbank, I recommend you to check other branches in the inner city or at Thapae road there are many banks there and they’re open at 8.30 AM

Normally they do have the ADM but sometimes the machines doesn’t work. Had this problem when I tried to update the bookbank for my husband and the machine was just … didn’t work properly, we ended up waiting for the bank to open at 8.30. Then went to immigration at 9.00

in my case, we had to update the bookbank in the same day when we applied for extension. So it was a bit complicated but we managed to made it in time before the queue was cut at 9.30 AM on that day 😅

I can't speak for Chiang Mai, but generally bank books are updated on the date of the extension application.
