TLDR : Answer Summary
The general consensus among respondents is that you can leave Thailand on the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) and return on the same day. Many have done so without issues, suggesting that short trips to neighboring countries like Laos or Cambodia can be completed within the day. However, some caution against taking unnecessary risks and recommend taking a longer trip to comply with visa regulations and make the most of the experience.
It’s unlimited entries for 5 years. You could come and go 3 times a day

why take a chance and come back same day, i never heard anyone been denied just because they come back the same day but dont be the first one to say it happen to you... take couple of week holiday at least and show that you are using DTV as its design for....i am the one who always think taking unnecessary risk is useless if you can avoid....

If I'm going to spend roughly $40 for a tourist visa in nearby countries, I might as well make it a trip. Laos and Cambodia have some things to offer.

Same day

Plenty have left and returned same day. Some at land crossings just as long it took to leave Thailand. Enter another country, leave and come back into Thailand.
