I have my DTV interview next week in Vientiane, I have read that they will email the outcome before 2pm after the interview. What experiences have people had lately for the actual time you end up with the email?

Also if accepted, I understand printing out the acceptance email for entry into thailand is recommeneded. Would it be possible to get in with the emailed digital copy oinly? Cheers

TLDR : Answer Summary
The typical wait time for receiving the DTV visa acceptance email after the interview in Vientiane is usually quite short, with some individuals reporting receiving it within minutes of exiting the embassy. It is highly recommended to print the acceptance email before entering Thailand, as while some have managed to enter with only a digital copy, there are concerns that printed copies are preferred, especially at land borders.

Any Photo shop, passport Photo shop will print one out and laminate. The evisa website requests that you print out your approved Visa, do it or Santa strikes you off his list

Does anyone know if it’s possible to enter (or even exit) via Land border with (new approved) DTV Visa ? The comments and Posts I have been reading here are mixed and quite horrific, to be honest..

Wish you success with your Visa, Paul :)

How long did you wait for your Interview?

I am going to Laos next month - any Tips? (can be about Laos in general too haha)

Thanks guys!

I‘m planning entering via Mukdahan, but haven’t heard ANYTHING at all about that border. Don‘t know if that‘s a good or a bad sign hahah

Anonymous participant 251 Cheers. Submitted Sunday 7th evening, Paid the fee at the embassey Monday morning and got notice of Interview Tuesday afternoon for 18th. So far biggest tip is go early to pay😅 I was 30mins early and 25 people in front of me, when they opened there were 40-50 people behind me. Once you have your interview date secured, head out of Vientiane to Vang Vien or LB.

Anonymous participant 251 If i had to do it all over again id go to hanoi. hated Vientiane. I entered by land the same day. got the bus from the bus station and then a taxi to the train station at nong khai due to no seats on the train from Vientiane left available at the time.
