I will be applying for a DTV Visa next month in Hanoi and have a question about the dependent process. since we are both currently living in Thailand, do we both need to leave the country at the same time when I leave to apply?

Or can they join me in Hanoi/ go to Hanoi at a later time after my DTV visa is approved to do the dependent process?

Also do I wait to submit any of the dependent application until after mine is approved or do I submit them both at the same time?

The dependent application needs to be after yours has completed as they need to reference your DTV in their application as well as provide marriage certificate etc. They don't need to be present while yours is being processed

You cannot submit them at the same time because one of the requirements for a dependent DTV is uploading the already issued DTV of the primary person.

They would need to join you when they're submitting their application as they must be in the country from when the application is submitted until the visa is issued. They don't need to be there while yours is processing.
