With the recent news of visa extensions hitting today, do us “under consideration” folks still need to report to immigration to be “considered” by immigration?

My date is tomorrow and I am not sure if I have to show up?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The need to report to immigration for those with an 'under consideration' visa status depends on the specific immigration office. Recent developments indicate that, following a blanket extension until July 31 due to COVID-19, some offices are allowing visitors to be covered under the amnesty without needing to obtain an additional stamp. However, others are still requiring individuals to report for their second stamp in the 'two stamp process.' It is recommended to contact your local immigration office for clarification to avoid potential fines or overstays.

So I went to chaengwattana and the information desk told me that I had a choice: go to muang thong thani or not go. I replied what do you mean I have a choice? “Up to yuu”. So I went to muang thong Thani. They took my passport no form. Stamped it and gave it back to me in five mins. They gave me until 28 April to stay and told me to monitor immigration website for an announcement

Ok looks like I am heading to MTT tomorrow. Does anyone have the exact address? I went there the first day and it was total confusion.

And is your stamp now an "extension of stay permitted until" stamp? <- which means that the extension process is complete?

IF so that means you will be on the current amnesty program that runs until april 30th, AND then be included on the new amnesty program that runs until the 31st of July

I went monday with same under concideration stamp running out and they said its a good job i came in to report..this was pattaya jomtien office...so as
@Tod ********
reported earlier,do go or at least ring your local office to find out cos its not worth sat here for another month and end up with massive overstay charges.. better safe then sorry i was back home within an hour..not busy at all

Okay people there is some confusion about these under consideration stamps

SOME offices are telling people you ARE covered under the blanket amnesty until the 30th and do not need to come back to get the rest of your stamp

BUT

Some offices are looking at the under consideration stamp as an "extension in process" <- meaning it's NOT completed yet, and telling people they are NOT covered on the amnesty until the 30th until AFTER they go get the second stamp of the two stamp process.

In Bangkok GO get your second stamp, the immigration office is a ghost town, and you'll be in and out really fast.

People who use other immigration offices CALL or go and check what you should do.

Believe me the last thing you need is to stupidly think you're covered on the blanket amnesty, do nothing then show up to stamp out of the country on an "under consideration" stamp and get fined/banned for overstay :)

If not far away it could be worth going in as they are not far away at least then you know you are definitely covered with a permitted to stay stamp issued after march 26

It depends what office you are using I know samui is giving the proper stamp when you attend
Maxim ***********
It does NOT depend on the office. You can go and pay if u like giving away money, but everyone was extended until April 30 free of charge already. Might now be until July 31, let's see.
