TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion confirms that individuals with an 'under consideration' stamp may need to visit immigration, but this requirement varies by embassy and region in Thailand. Those with visa on arrival (VOA) or regular 30-day extension stamps appear to be exempt from mandatory visits until July 30. Several users share their experiences and communications with immigration offices, highlighting inconsistencies in information provided by officials.

). A quick check and I hv to go in to get the extension of stay stamp as Tod stated. He just said go in any time. Didn't seem to be a strict limit and none soecified. But obviously in a reasonable time frame like this week i *guess*.....

and I guess you'll find out if that's really true or not when you try to stamp out on an "under consideration" stamp rather than the "extension of stay" stamp that you get when you were supposed to go back on the date your first stamp expires

Yes, if you DON'T have an under-consideration stamp, you DON'T have to go to immigration.
No, not true, it's embassy dependent. What i've just learn is that u need to complete the process in the same embassy that u got ur under consideration from. Also, some embassy like Phuket still don't ask people to go complete the process. I think also Samui and some more. Chiang Mai now ask to go but there is no overstay if u go late so u go when u can. I am in Khon Kaen but did under consideration in CM because I had to get Canadian embassy letter there. I cannot go to CM atm and embassy understand.

At the CM immigration office now. Just got told I'll have to pay 1400B at the airport upon leaving for not showing up at io on the 17th like my under consideration stamp said.

You are missing a great show here Garrett! The famous "each immigration with separate ruling standard BS".

Your embassy doesn't have any bearing on what immigration requires.
