I went to immigration office in tai yang phetchaburi. I have non o retirement Visa. I asked officer do I have to report at immigration office if I have stayed outside the province for a few days example bkk. He told me do not have to do. Only time to do is if I have returned from UK. Or if I have problems. He spoke excellent English and was so helpful

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user reported their experience at the immigration office in Phetchaburi regarding their Non-O retirement visa. They were informed that reporting to immigration is not necessary for short trips within Thailand, such as visiting Bangkok, unless coming from abroad or facing issues. Comments indicate varying policies across different immigration offices in Thailand, with some requiring more frequent reporting.

I close the comments, yes it depends on the enforcement of your immigration office, Yes you get away if you stay without getting your self registered on another location, but how do i explain: please dear hotel manager, I do not like to tell my land lord I spend a few nights in this hotel and ask him to report at immigration that I'm back in my rental condo. Please break the law to help me, if police do check I will pay the max 10.000 Thb a person fines for you. have fun out there, but be careful

it's great many of you people don't have to report..my local immigration says every time even if in same province..not complaining..50 km away...we make it part of our shopping day..

point i'm making and admins have said it too..each Immigration office has different policy..so one has to check with their local office..

Just wondering, if you travel somewhere but don’t register in your name, then perhaps you would not need to report to immigration?

This seems to be the standard throughout Thailand- most only require a report if you leave the country and return.

Unfortunately not in Phuket ... IO says report every time I leave the province - which is ok now that I know and do it via my app 🤷‍♀️

Isn't it funny? When I come back from Europe I return to my house. Where else would I go?

thanx for the update. (y)

Remember this is ONLY for the Phetchaburi Immigration Office

Each office seems to have it's own policy on TM30s and re-filing for in country travel.

Check with YOUR immigration office and follow what they say to do.
