TLDR : Answer Summary
You do not need to report your arrival in Chiang Mai or your return to Si Bun Ruang. According to several travelers, within Thailand, local travel does not require immigration reporting, except for the initial entry from another country.

I asked many times since i travel around Thailand ALOT! Camping here and there and staying away sometimes 1 month at the time different places. They do not care where you stay you report the first when you come inside from another country thats it no local travel inside Thailand.

Travel inside Thailand do not have to be reported, only if you come back from abroad.
