Hey you guys. I finish my quarantine tomorrow and am flying to Phuket at the end of the week. Is it true that if you want to extend your visa you have to be in the last month of it? Also can I extend in Bangkok if I’m going to be in Phuket? Or should I just extend in Phuket since that’s where I’ll be staying my duration of my trip?
Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question addresses the visa extension process for travelers to Thailand, specifically regarding the timing of extensions and location options. Responses indicate that visa extensions can be done in either Bangkok or Phuket, but timing requirements may vary by immigration office. Extensions are typically allowed 30 to 45 days before the visa expiry date. For those traveling, there are also current quarantine requirements to be mindful of.
As of now, If you wait until the end of the week to go to Phuket from Bangkok you will be required to do another 14 days of quarantine, but this time self-quarantine, and they will track you. If you leave for Phuket as soon as you get out of quarantine, and have your documents they give you from quarantine, you will not have to do more quarantine, but you must immediately transit to Phuket. You can not even wait an extra day. Be fully aware of this new requirement that went into effect Friday.
