Hi everyone,

So I have my DTV and have recently done my 90 day reporting at Cheung watthana.

My question is this

I have joined fitfac for the courses which expire in 9months...has anyone else done the same? And have they been told they need to reregister for more Muay Thai courses for the visa requirements ?

I asked fitfac and didn't really get an answer...maybe they don't know themselves

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses concerns regarding the need for ongoing proof of activity, specifically related to Muay Thai courses, for maintaining a DTV visa. Community responses indicate that while there is currently no requirement to show proof upon re-entry into Thailand, it's advisable to be prepared for potential future checks. The consensus suggests that having an ongoing course may be necessary when extending stay or under scrutiny from immigration.

A simple BORDER BOUNCE to get the DTV 180 day extension of stay is what is done now. There's NO proof of anything else needed when reentering at this time.

As others have said, an ongoing activity is required when extending your stay in Thailand. When crossing the border, checks are rare but could become increasingly common over time. Immigration has the authority to inspect anything they deem necessary.

very likely that they will ask for proof of activity in the future. better be prepared… but for now it seems to be no problem with re-entry.

Be prepared. Even with port exit and entry. Immigration officer could always ask proof or on-going course. This is how they make money.

To extend in the country, you will have to show ongoing activities. Leaving and re-entering on a new 180 day stamp seems to be the way to go, as people are not being asked to show ongoing SP activity currently.
