TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a Muay Thai soft power DTV visa at the Thai embassy in Paris, 6 months of Muay Thai courses are recommended. While some individuals have been approved with proof of less training, such as 3 months, there are reports of denied applications for those with shorter courses, like 1 month or 5 months. Additionally, applicants should be prepared to show bank statements reflecting a balance of at least 500,000 THB or equivalent for the visa process.

All courses are 6 months and you require 6 months bank statements showing 500k or equivalent, when you renew you could be asked for the next 6 months courses

This customer of mine was in Paris while I applied for a DTV for him. I provided proof of 3 months, and his visa was approved. He is now in Thailand.

His DTV visa was approved by the Thai Embassy in Paris on January 10, 2025, and he flew to Thailand on January 21, 2025.

Could you clarify if you mean:

Where is my company located?

Where does my customer train?

Which embassy did I apply to for him?

May I ask what you mean by, "Where was that?"

Sorry, I misread your question. You asked 'when,' but I thought it was 'where.' My mistake!

We're seeing denied DTV Visas for those short course which can be taken using a Thai tourist visa or Visa Exempt Entry into Thailand.

Washington DC Thai Consulate offered to issue a METV multiple entry TOURIST VISA instead of the DTV as the Muay Thai training submitted for the DTV Visa was ONLY for 5 months.

Paris is known as not easy to obtain any Thai Visa.

Anonymous participant and carefully choose the Thai Embassy or Consulate where you are going to make your DTV Visa Application.

From what we have seen from the Washington DC Thai Consulate, don't APPLY there as they will offer you a METV multiple entry tourist visa instead of the DTV visa.

ONLY submit your application for the DTV visa where your Muay Thai training school gym has been successful in getting their students approved for the DTV visa.

ASK your COURSE SPONSOR...they will know.
