I want to apply for the DTV visa but under soft core heading how would one sign up for activities when you are not currently in Thailand. Would Immigration issue the visa on the basis that you will sign up for a course when you arrive in Thailand.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a DTV (Digital Nomad) visa while not in Thailand, you cannot simply promise to sign up for a course upon arrival; visa applications require proof of enrollment. You must research and enroll in an accredited soft power activity, such as a Muay Thai course or Thai cooking classes, and obtain necessary documents from the providing institutions. It is recommended to complete the payment and secure confirmation before applying for the DTV visa, as embassies will not issue visas based on intentions or plans. Joining online forums could also provide support and information about the DTV application process.

If you’re older, you may be interested in Thai cooking school. I think they qualifies for DTV

Getting a dtv is a simple process. You really dont need an agent to help. You must pay for a soft power activity and get documents from the school before applying. We are doing a cooking course

Be very careful with applying for a dtv make sure you get accredited Maui Thai school that have all the necessary info your need a few bits from them as your see when you apply on the visa website for DTV it can be done but requires a lot of things and it must all be correct other wise they will denie application and your loose your money . Just a heads up . I’m sure there’s a few people out there on dtv doing muai Thai etc good luck mabey have a look at the visa website page and also search for acreditated schools there’s a good one in kho Tao if your going down that way and there’s plenty in Bangkok good luck David 👍🏼

I think you get in touch with a company that does whatever activity you choose, you then pay them for the course & they send you confirmation. Which you use for the DTV

You need to decide where you are going to stay in thailand and then look to see what soft power (i assume you mean muay thai) providers who are registered and provide you with the appropriate approved course and paperwork to support your application. You will need to sign up and pay for the course before you will get the supporting documents to apply for your DTV. There is a forum that deals with DTV on Facebook so I would suggest you look out for it and join

First of all, it's soft power, not soft core.

Second, immigration has nothing to do with DTV. It's embassies that issue the DTV visa. And no, no visa anywhere is issued based on your promise to do something.

Thousands of other people have figured out how to use the internet to contact a qualifying school to register and then apply.
