Hi, I have a multiple entry tourist visa and entered Thailand from the UK in January. I have the date 20th March in my passport. I am on Koh Phangan...do I need to go to Koh Samui by 20th March (where they have an immigration office) or do I need to leave the country by 20th March please? Is there anything else I need to leave/re-enter - money? Will I get another 60 days to stay? My visa is valid until 5th June. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
You have a multiple entry tourist visa and need to ensure proper handling of your stay. By 20th March, you should go to an immigration office for a possible extension of 30 days. After this extension, you will need to leave Thailand and re-enter to gain an additional 60 days of stay.

Yep. You can only get a 30 day extension, but when that's up, as
@Ja***
has said, do a border bounce, get another two month stamp, and if desired, a further 30 day extension

And
@Sue ********
has good advice. Thanks All. I see a visit to local Thai Immigration for a 30 days extension in March

Thanks - So based on what I said above - I should be doing a boarder run in March and not going to Samui??

I was referring to METV actually. Thanks

As far as I know she can get a 30 day extension only once. Beyond that only border bounces

You can extend for another 30days at an immigration office then you will need to leave Thailand and re-enter when that extension is done.
