I'm trying to get residency certificate for buying motorbike and for motorbike license.

So when I go to the immigration in chiang mai, do I need to double my document?(example: copy of passport, house registration of the owner)

As you can only get one thing for one residency certificate

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a residency certificate in Chiang Mai for the purpose of buying a motorbike and obtaining a motorbike license, you will generally need to obtain multiple copies of the certificate. Based on community advice, it is recommended to obtain one residency certificate for each purpose—one for the motorbike registration and another for the motorbike license. It's suggested to prepare copies of all required documents such as your passport, visa, TM30, and photos. Make sure to verify the specific requirements at the immigration office, as some individuals reported needing different residency certificates for each application to avoid confusion.

I registered my car and applied for both bike and car licences from DLT. I needed 1 certificate of residence for each ie 3 altogether.

Kanchanaburii DLT

It's 3 application at immigration, so I needed 3 sets of documents

Be careful which CoR you use for which item, as they are specific of purpose. Ie one will be too register the bike and one will be for the licence. They are written in Thai, so it's easy to get them mixed up

Get three and get a vehicle license too. Easier to do it all together if you have access to a car. It’s nearly identical written test.

Yes you’ll need one for each but if your getting a car and bike license I believe you can make a copy

a residency certificate is for one purpose only stated on the certificate. Eg for opening bank account - only at specific and clearly stated bank. You will certainly need two.

You need to get two CoR one for each specific purpose (the application form has tick boxes for reason/purpose). Take two copies of everything too (passport pages, visa, TM30, photos).

You’ll need one residence certificate for both, so ask them to give you two copies. At least that’s what I did when I got my license and bought my motorbike.

if you own property, is that sufficient or do you still need a residency certificate? I'm hoping to buy a motorbike next month when I arrive
