Before applying for my DTV this week, I had been entering Thailand on visa on arrival for the past six months. That means I’ve already stayed in the country well over 90 days within the last year. I plan to re-enter Thailand this week to activate my DTV.

I just realized I may need to complete the 90-day reporting, but I’m not clear on the exact process. From what I understand, I’ll need a TM30 from the homeowner ?, Could someone provide me with a clear step-by-step plan of action for handling this?

I’m based in Rayong, so I assume I’ll need to take care of everything at Rayong Immigration. Any guidance would be appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To handle 90-day reporting in Thailand, first obtain a TM30 form from your landlord, which confirms your residence. When it's around the 90th day of your DTV stay, visit Rayong Immigration with your passport and the TM30 to complete the TM47 form for reporting. Remember, 90-day reporting is only necessary if you've stayed in the country for 90 consecutive days; if you exit before that, the reporting requirement resets.

Be ready for the current question from a surly IO..'why do you come to Thailand so often?'

Current as of last month in several reported instances including mine

You only do 90 day reporting when you have been in country for 90 consecutive days. If you have been living here on visa exemptions, then you have been leaving before 90 days. Everytime you re-enter your 90 day clock restarts

You will have arrived on no visa at all but on visa exempt and been given a 60day stamp which you'll have extended for 30 days at immigration, you may have done a border run for another 60 days visa exempt. 90 day reporting is only required when you have stayed in the country for 90 or more consecutive days. If you leave at 89 days the clock resets no reporting. So when you arrive on 60 + 30 you actually only have a stmp for 89 days so no reporting

Get your TM30 from your landlord then around the 90th day of your DTV stay you go to Immigration with your passport and TM30 for your 90 day report (complete a TM47 form). It is free.
