Do I need to visit the Immigration Office for my 90 Days report after re-entering Thailand on a new visa?

Question regarding the 90 Day Report for DTV Holders.

As far as I understand, we need to physically visit the Immigration Office for your first ever 90 Days report. And next time onwards we're able to do the 90 Days report online.

My question is, if I leave Thailand after my first 90 Day report, and come back later on a new 180 days stamp, do I need to visit the Immigration Office again to do the 90 Days report, or will I be able to do it online?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90 Day Report for DTV holders requires an in-person visit to the Immigration Office for the first report after entry. Subsequent reports may be done online, unless you leave Thailand and re-enter with a new visa, in which case you would need to visit the Immigration Office again for your first report under the new entry.

Not exactly true, as long as you sign the paperwork anyone can take that paperwork and go do it for you.

Yeah, just was at immigration at Friday. At least in Chonburi it's first one after entering the country has to be in person. Meaning, if you don't extend after 6 months and opt for a border run, then you have to do all 90 day reports in person

In Bangkok can be done by mail to save the long hike out to immigration

I tend to think with each new entry as the clock is only reset upon entry.

I think it is first entry in person for each single entry. We should know more about it soon as more cases emerge.

Only one has to be in person, if you have done a in person report and the leave, the next can be online. However it doesn't mean it will be approved, the address has to be spot on in the system

not correct, every first 90 day report after enttering the country has to be done in person.

This is what immigration says:

For first-time requests of a 90-day notification in each country visit, in-person presentation at the immigration office is required.

I want to try by mail but I think I will be anxious whether it has been successfully received by the office and got on the process.😥 Is it possible to check how my mail is being processed?
Andy ************
@Jean *****
Yes. You must send by EMS, and your notification will be returned the same. Never failed once with me

I have read different to this in a Chiang Mai group - the method of reporting resets too if you re-enter so fist 90 day after entering always has to be in person. A couple of provisos here 1) Chiang MaI dos have some peculiarities in their immigration office 2) When I have completed my 90 day I always did it in in person it at Jomtien as it is efficient and there is a good pie shop nearby :-)

in Bangkok I've only done online reports for the last 2 years, next month will be my third one since on the DTV

It was a couple of years till I had one to do in Bangkok during Covid. Before that travelled for work. The admin staff at work dealt with it. I remember some people being baffled as they never knew it was a thing previously.
