TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is preparing to return to Thailand with a DTV visa obtained last year and seeks clarification on any requirements before their return in October. Responses indicate that the necessity of any action depends on the reason for the DTV acquisition—if it was for freelance work, they should be fine as long as they have their documentation ready. There's also a note that they need to complete a TDAC (Thai Digital Area Certification) within three days of arrival, along with a reminder to check the official website for official guidelines.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Assuming you meant the DTV, you just need to do a TDAC within 3 days of your arrival.

You are good to go. You have a 5 year visa

It depends for what reason you acquired your DTV. If soft power, you might need to book another course before you go back to Thailand, if freelance you should be good to go, just have the evidence of freelance work to hand in case the IO asks questions

@Dave **********
There are no current checks on people entering that they have courses booked if on Soft Power DTV.

No, but the Author said left Thailand in April, and plans to return to Thailand in October. That may well raise a question with the IO as to whether the original soft power course is still valid after 6 months out of Thailand. Hence my point he may need to book a new course to prove upon reentry

Nobody has been asked yet have they? Not seen any reports of such.

I think it’s only a matter of time for increased checking on soft power DTV holders. The Visa only became available just over a year ago,

It’s better to be prepared than encounter problems on re-entry

They may well start to check on attendance and ongoing courses in the future. This cannot be predicted with any level of certainty. Currently they are not.

Yes, exactly my point.
