Hi, I've got a workpermit and a Non-immigrant visa. I'm going to leave my school and study. I have to change to an ed-visa. Do I need to cancel my workpermit first or my visa first?
Any help on this... :)
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the process of transitioning from a work permit and non-immigrant visa to an ed-visa. The community advised that the work permit should be canceled first, then visit the immigration office to cancel the extension of stay based on the work permit. Clarifications were made that an extension of stay is not the same as a visa and that one must exit Thailand to apply for a new ed-visa, especially if transitioning while in the country could lead to overstays.
