Hi,

I have been on covid tourist extension visa since March 2020. In between I had a medical visa but have been back on covid extension for quite a while.

I read here that if I switched to another type of visa in between.

Can I apply for the new visa extension or is there no chance as I was on a medical visa in between? I only read about ED Visas

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has been on a Covid tourist extension visa since March 2020, briefly switched to a medical visa, and is now back on the Covid extension. They are seeking clarity on whether the switch to a medical visa affects their eligibility for another Covid extension. Responses suggest that while they may try to apply for another extension citing Covid-related reasons, the decision ultimately lies with the immigration officer. It's advised to have a backup plan in case the extension is not granted.

Well, any way you slice it

you had a pretty good run with relatively little effort (Mar 2020 to Jan 2022?) ๐Ÿ˜‰

So even if you can't get another covid extension and they sell you a 7 day get out of thailand stamp you did okay ๐Ÿ™‚

Just make sure you have a plan b in case you can't get another covid extension when the current stamp you have runs out

The medical reason for the extension is not Non-immigrant type.

You can try to apply for another extension based on being unable to travel due to the Covid situation. But if you can get another is between you and the immigration officer you are going to deal with. I guess what you can do is be prepared with plan B and try.
