Just about to leave Thailand to return to the UK,

Thanks to everyone who has given me advice, really nice group.

My work have told me I don’t have to do anything with cancelling my visa and they will cancel it when I leave.

I just wanted to check if this is the correct protocol I don’t want to have any issues coming back into Thailand at a latter date

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is preparing to leave Thailand for the UK and is unsure about the process of cancelling their visa, as their employer has stated they will handle it. However, there are concerns expressed in the comments regarding whether the employer can cancel the visa without the user present, with advice suggesting that the user may need to visit immigration personally to ensure proper cancellation and avoid issues upon future re-entry.

And how is your place of employment going to cancel your extension in your passport when you have left the country?

I'd say take your termination paperwork to the BOI office cancel your work permit & cancel your extension. Your employer will know the paperwork to give you

I am not 100% sure but I think that you need to be the one to go to immigration to cancel, because they put a stamp in your passport
