So I had my DTV visa granted in Taipei today. I’m currently on a Muay Thai (education visa) that doesn’t end till the 30th of December.

Before returning to thailand do I need to cancel my ED visa ?

I have the DTV stamp now in my passport (sorry if this is a stupid question) just unsure.

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you've been granted a DTV visa while holding an ED visa, the ED visa is typically canceled automatically upon receiving the new DTV visa. This is because you cannot have two active visas simultaneously in your passport. Additionally, if you leave Thailand without a re-entry stamp, your ED visa will also be canceled. It's advisable to check your passport for clarity on the status of your current visa or extension of stay.

If you exited Thailand without a reentry stamp your Ed visa will be automatically canceled.

Also the embassy would not issue you a DTV while having a current active Ed Visa. You can't have two separate active visas on the same passport at the same time from what I understand.

Do you actually have a visa or are you on an extension of stay (look in your passport). If the latter one you need to cancel it after you return to Thailand

As I understand it the Ed visa is automatically canceled when you get the DTV

We had a person do this and it was no problem ( I run a muay thai gym)
