TLDR : Answer Summary
When cancelling an ED Visa in Thailand, it is generally required that all family members present during the visa application also attend the cancellation process. However, policies may vary by immigration office, so it's advisable to confirm with your local office. In some instances, the presence of dependents may not be necessary, but it is safer to take everyone along to avoid any complications.

, the immigration in Chaeng Wattana requires the personal appearance of the Visa holder when you cancel your Visa. Cheers!

You might like to use google to find the address and telephone number of the office in your region. a Phone call for a question is easier made and done than a long ride by car.

That's a question you're going to have to ask your immigration office. Some will do the cancellation without the kids there BUT most require everyone to show up.

SO you either go ask them OR you take everyone just to be safe

Sorry I didn't mean to NOT give you the answer, but it varies so much with the 70+ offices that I doubt anyone can really tell you unless you ask that location and even then the answer might vary depending on what officer you asked :/
