What should I do if I didn't receive a TM6 upon arrival in Thailand and need to extend my visa?

I landed into BKK on the 11 November and just realized I was not given a TM6.

I have a visa exemption stamp and I will need to extend it on 24 December.

What do I do? I know the TM6 is needed! Also my hotels have made no mention of TM30. Do they automatically update it in the system?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Upon arriving in Bangkok, you noticed you did not receive a TM6 form. However, it is currently not needed for air travel arrivals. You will still need to handle the TM30, which your hotel should file with Thai immigration. It's a good idea to request a printout of the TM30 from your hotel, especially when you apply for your visa extension, as some immigration offices may inquire about it. Most importantly, you can apply for a tourist visa extension anytime as long as you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp.

If you come by air a TM6 is not needed at the moment.

Ask your hotel to print a copy of the tm 30, if you have to go to immigration for an extension. Stuff goes wrong and having the print out from the hotel helps smooth things over.

When you check in wherever you will be staying when you do your extension, ask them for a print out of your TM30. They will either helpfully print it out and hand you a copy or insist that such a thing doesn’t exist.

If you have one, bring it to immigration with you when you do your extension. They may or may not ask you for it.

Other than that you need never concern yourself with TM30s as a tourist.

TM6 is not required. It depends on your local immigration office if TM 30 receipt is required for tourism extension or not. 30 days Tourism extension is added to your stamp, and most immigration offices accept applications when you have 30 days or less with your current stamp. No need to wait to apply for it until the last minute.

The TM 6 has been temporarily discontinued for air travel arrivals into Thailand.

The TM 30 is STILL required. Hotels are to file it with Thai immigration
