Do I need my landlord to file anything for my visa extension if I'm using an Airbnb?

Question about the m7 part of Visa extension. Do you need your landlord to file anything on there end. I mistakenly used air bnb so I have a hard time communicating with the landlord. Can I just fill out the address I'm at or do I need to get a hotel. And if I need a hotel can I sign in and go directly from the hotel to the Visa office with there address or do I need to wait overnight, maybe a day or more?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirements for visa extensions can vary by province in Thailand. In some areas, such as Bangkok, there are minimal formalities regarding landlord documentation. However, if you are in a province that is more strict about these rules, you may need to ensure that your accommodation is properly registered. If you choose to stay at a hotel instead, you can potentially go directly to the visa office right after checking in, provided the hotel handles the registration of your stay online.

It depends on what province you are in, some care about it but some do not. Bangkok for example does not care. If in a province that does care I think you'd be good to go immediately if the hotel does it online. You can confirm they did it by asking for a screenshot. Immigration doesn't want this but it would just confirm for your own information that they did it.

My understanding is that a TM30 remains valid until superseded by another one so you should be able to put the last place you know it was filed. It's a report of a point in time, it doesn't have a duration, as far as I am aware if another one isn't filed they will presume you are still there.

I stayed at a small hotel nakara boutique place. When I arrived but only for one night. Could I put them on the form being that it was only one night weeks ago or do I need something on the day I fill out the form?

Chiang Mai have written on their list of requirements for the tourist extension that a TM30 must have been filed. They definitely do NOT ask for any documentation of this but maybe they check it on the back end.

Most hotels will file it online and it should be done then immediately. I suggest getting the screenshot because that would just prove to yourself that the hotel had definitely done it, before you go to immigration. You don't need to show it to immigration.

I'm in Chiang mai. Some reviews say people have been asked her. But just so I understand, when I check into a hotel they will file right away and I prove by getting a screenshot of them doing it on a phone?
