Does anyone know if Jakarta asks for a tm30? I live in a private house owned by my thai partner. Usually with tourist visa ext I just need to say that and get him to write a note with a copy of his ID. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
In Thailand, a TM30 is necessary if you are staying in a private residence, such as with a partner or friend. The property owner is responsible for registering your stay. The TM30 serves as proof of address when extending your visa. However, it is not required for applying for a new visa after leaving the country.
Yes, it depends on the office. Chonburi did not bother with it but implemented October 2023 again for overseas trips. I went to UK and reregistered. Went to Vietnam a couple of. Months later and went to the office but told to go away. Too much work lol

You MUST have a tm30 if you stay with a friend in Thailand, the owner us responsible to register, or fine is 1600 baht
And this has to be submitted when applying for the DTV visa?

Anonymous participant not be needed unless asked for by the Thai Embassy or Consulate where you are applying for the DTV visa. Look at their website for their requirements for the Visa. Likely they may ask you for the address of where you will be staying in Thailand. Possible other requirements for residence.
