Do I need a multiple entry visa for Thailand if I'm visiting for a week, going to Vietnam, and returning?

Hi, I’m from the UK and planning to come to Thailand in December. I am staying for a week and then flying to vietnam and then back to Thailand. Am I able to do this on the normal tourist visa or would I need a multiple entry visa?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster can enter Thailand without requiring a multiple entry visa. They can utilize a visa-exempt entry for both visits, allowing them a stay of up to 30 days during their return after visiting Vietnam. A standard tourist visa would not be necessary in this case.

You won't need a visa for this plan

You can enter visa exempt for up to 30 days. Both times.

Depends on how long you're staying when you return the second time. But if you got a tourist visa you would use it when you enter the first time and get your 60 days then lose them all as soon as you left.

If you're not trying to stay a long time the 2nd entry, you can just use the 30 day visa exempt entry without a visa for both times.
