Dear All, need a quick help:

1. Will someone need a COE & Fit to Fly certificate while transiting at Bangkok airport for 14 hrs? Traveling from Melbourne to Mumbai.

2. Will need a transit Visa as well?

3. Flying Melbourne to Bangkok by Singapore Airlines and from Bangkok to Mumbai by Emirates. What documents are needed at Bangkok to undertake a hassle free onward trip?

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the requirements for a 14-hour transit at Bangkok airport while traveling from Melbourne to Mumbai, specifically whether a Certificate of Entry and a Fit to Fly certificate are needed, along with any necessary transit visa documentation. There are conflicting comments regarding the transit rules. Some indicate that there are no longer transit flights through Bangkok, and thus, certain documents may be required. The discussion suggests that travelers should verify their flight options and associated requirements.

"Passengers and airline crew are not allowed to enter AND TRANSIT" ... there is a list of exemptions later on referring to visa requirements.

There are currently no transiting flights at bangkok airports. So if you’ve booked one it is going to be cancelled.

From your flights it looks like you’ve booked 2 separate tickets and you won’t be allowed to board your flight to bangkok without asq, insurance, and COE. Best look for other flight options.

I am assuming that you will have four flights in all, two on each airline.

Did you look into flying from Melbourne to Mumbai via Dubai on Emirates?
