Are Transit Passengers at BKK Required to Have Medical Certificates and Embassy Letters?

Does anyone know if transit passengers flying through BKK but not entering the country are required to have the "medical certificate" and/or "embassy letter" that those entering are required to have? Asking for someone flying from Yangon and onwards to the U.S.

If the passenger is flying with Thai Airways, they require those documents for both inbound and transit passengers.

It's the airline at the port of embarkation who need to see this. If it's a through booking you don't go through immigration, so it MAY not be required. Check with the airline
