If already asked, sorry.

I live battambang and i can cross 2 x year from cambodia to thailand in poipet aranyaprathet with my Belgian pasport. As i am cardiac patient i want to be able to go any time needed to thai hospital in aranyaprathet or even bangkok as we not have any option for cardiac.medical care in battambang.

Going to phnom penh takes 5 hours. Going to siem reap 3 hours...poipet is 90 minutes and by far best option

I not have any intention to go and live in thailand, i just want to be sure that i can go into thailand over land for medical care in case of need without having to go to phnom penh for a visa after i used my 2 crossings allowed.

Thanks.in advance for your appreciated advise

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is exploring options for crossing from Cambodia to Thailand for medical care, specifically cardiac treatment, without living in Thailand. They have a Belgian passport allowing two visa-exempt land crossings per year at the Poipet-Aranyaprathet border, which is geographically closer compared to traveling to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap. Community comments suggest that after the two crossings, the user would need to apply for a Thai visa, as there are restrictions in place. Additionally, the Poipet border is noted for being difficult, with advice to consult a visa agent for assistance. Overall, the user's concern is ensuring access to necessary medical services while navigating visa requirements.

You're fooling yourself and PMplaying with fire. If you have a serious heart condition, want to live longer, and have emergency treatments available to you, you must live close to a Cardiac Center, period. That or hire a Cardiologist and a Cardiac Surgeon to be at your side 24 hours a day, after building a fully functional Heart Cath/EPS lab, and Cardio-Thoracic Surgical Suite at your home. Good luck ๐Ÿคž

Cambodia is NOT the place to live if u need constant medical attention.

living in Batt, ur closest border in Pailin at Ban Pakard,

but after 2 visa exempt crossings, ur going to need a visa

source out an agent in Batt. should be around $70-80 for a thai via there

You'd need a visa after you've used your 2 exempt land crossings. Agents can't even get around the limit. Possibly the only option is to apply for TV every 3 months even if you don't use it.

I can't see how that can possibly work. Without a Thai visa of some sort you are restricted to 2 border crossings in any one year. On top of this the Poipet border has a reputation for being the most difficult border crossing in Thailand and frequently denies entry to people.

Don't forget the two land crossing are per calendar year 1st Jan to 31st Dec.

The crossing you want to use doesn't have the best of reputations for being easy. Perhaps try and engage one of the visa agents that do border runs through there from Thailand.
