TLDR : Answer Summary
When doing the 90-day Immigration report in Thailand, children do not need to be present; only their passports are required. It is common for agents or designated representatives to handle this task without the dependents being physically present. However, for peace of mind, bringing the children along the first time could be beneficial for clarity.
Generally speaking an agent, meaning anyone you designate really, doesn't necessarily have to be a registered agent, can take care of such tasks as 90 day reporting on your behalf so I don't see why your children would need to be with you. Only their passports are needed.
That being said, if you want to be absolutely sure, bring them along the first time and ask them.
As I've observed company representatives doing 90 day reports and even yearly or biannual extensions for their busy foreign executives without their presence at immigration, I can't imagine you being required to bring your children. Myself I've never done a 90 day report in person, I assign someone else to do it for me.

ORIGINAL POSTER
Yes I could go the agent route, it seemed easy enough to go through the drive through. Unfortunately the children had to be with us for the drive through service but as I was advised in different post I can go into the office 101 to do on their behalf instead.

Can i ask how easy or difficult it was to get dependency visa ? Did the school assist and did you require to show money in bank account ? About to do same thing in a few months. Any advice/pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Check if the school you are applying with is able to offer the Education and Guardian visa.
If so, the school will give you the paperwork from their side and with your required paperwork (birth certificates, passport, statements, etc) you are able to apply for the visa in your country - 90 days only.
One Guardian visa per one student.
Once entered Thailand you have to open a bank account and deposit into it 500K Baht. After about 2.5 months you can apply for the extension (again with all necessary paperwork)
- thank you very much for responding to my message. This information is very useful as it is first hand experience. Much appreciated π Yes the school will assist (i hope).

They don't need to be with you for 90 day report. Passport is enough
