Anybody knows if it’s possible to enter on a normal 30 or 60 day visa on arrival instead of using the DTV? Becaue my passport expires in just a bit less than six months.

TLDR : Answer Summary
It appears that entering Thailand on a visa (like the DTV) typically requires your passport to have at least six months' validity remaining. However, if you opt for a visa-exempt entry (like a 60-day stamp), you may not need the full six months left. Community responses indicate that while some airlines may enforce the six-month rule strictly, it may be less of an issue if entering through land borders. It's advisable to confirm with airline policies or consult a visa run agency for accurate guidance.
If you have the visa I think you need to use it and that means your passport needs at least 6 months left on it.
If you enter on a visa exempt 60 day stamp then you don't need to have 6 months left on your passport. Thailand doesn't have that 6 month passport rule like other countries. You only need to have enough time left on the passport for what you are stamped in on

Highly unlikely, and why would you want to? If you enter with the DTV you will get stamped in for the period your passport is valid for if its under 180 days

I'm pretty sure you need more than 6 months on your passport to enter Thailand regardless of what visa you have. The airline probably won't let you check in for your flight. It might go unnoticed with a land border but I would check with a visa run agency.

Passport has to be at least 6 months before entering. Pretty standard so you might want to confirm that if not risk being turned away.
