Can you enroll in a language class in Bangkok and do it remotely in Hua H in for a DTV?
Answer summary
The general consensus from the comments suggests that language classes are not eligible for the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand. It appears that while language courses may form part of cultural learning, they do not qualify for DTV certification, which is more aligned with remote work qualifications or specific educational purposes under the ED visa. Some users mentioned that while you may enroll or attend language classes remotely with a DTV, you cannot obtain a DTV solely based on a language course.

Once you have the DTV (based on someting else, i.e. a remote job), you can very well do what you mention, if you want. But you can't get the visa issued just based on a remote language course.
Not hard to understand. Because Language Courses under ED Visa already earned much enough money, now cooking class & Thai boxing, what's next? Maybe Thai music or Temple meditation Course...etc😌😂😂
but muay thai and cooking is also under ED. so the differentiation doesnt make much sense. especially when they all need certifications by ministry of education for the dtv ;)
BeautifulDragon2531 The DTV was a rush job and most relevant departments were never consulted. My thoughts are that if they were going to cover language, they would have had to consult Immigration and the Department of Education too. Education visas seem to be more monitored along with the language class attendance. Looks like they wanted to avoid that.
