Hello : )

Have 2 questions needing clarification:

(1) Is it possible to apply for a Tourist Visa whilst in Thailand?

Reason is the 2nd 60-day exemption+30 extension is about to expire.

(2) Any instructions/info on how to catch train/bus from Bangkok to Chong Mek/Vang Tao (Laos Border).

(a) can buy/pay at the ticket office or require advance reservation?

Thank you.
Answer summary
The post asks two main questions: if it is possible to apply for a Tourist Visa while remaining in Thailand and how to travel from Bangkok to the Laos border. The responses clarify that you cannot apply for a Tourist Visa from within Thailand, as these visas must be obtained from Thai embassies or consulates outside the country. Additionally, for travel advice, the second comment suggests using online resources to find detailed instructions on transportation options.

You are already in Thailand as a tourist, and you cannot get a tourist visa while you are in Thailand. Tourist visas are only available from Thai embassies and consulates outside of Thailand, and you must be inside of the jurisdiction of the embassy to apply there.
