Hello, I am wondering for a trip of 4 or 5 months, may I enter for 30 days without visa and then apply in Thaïland for a tourist visa 60 days and eventually an extension 🤣 Is this feasable ans accepted ? I also read comments of people going out of Thailand and ask then for a new tourist visa but I am wondering how much times can you go with such system ? Thanks in advance to those who would know the answers 🤣

TLDR : Answer Summary
Entering Thailand without a visa grants only a 30-day stay, which can be extended for an additional 30 days. However, it is not possible to apply for a tourist visa while inside Thailand if you initially entered under the visa exemption. To stay in Thailand for 4 to 5 months, it is recommended to obtain a 60-day tourist visa beforehand, which can then be extended by 30 days without needing to leave the country.
No of course not. If you go without a visa there's the extension you can get but you cannot then get visas in country that have the same travel purpose as your exemption.
No, you cannot get a tourist visa in Thailand. You can only get a tourist visa at a Thai embassy outside of Thailand. It's all done online at most countries, so why don't you just do it before you travel? It costs less than applying for an extension inside the country anyways.
If you arrive without a visa you will only receive a 30 day stamp and can only receive a single 30-day extension before you will have to leave. To get 5 months you would have to leave and return at least twice.
If you arrive with a tourist visa and get 60 days, and apply for the 30-day extension, you only have to leave and return once to get 5 months.
