About education visa transfer within Thailand , still confused…
Could we convert from “ผ.60 - ม.17 “to Ed visa ( age 14 with school letter )
Or we need to change to “ non o “visa first and wait for 30 days and then apply to Ed visa ?
Thank you 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on whether they can directly convert their current visa (a kind of free entry stamp) to an Education visa (ED visa) in Thailand for their 14-year-old child with a school letter, or if they need to switch to a Non-O visa first and wait for 30 days before applying for the ED visa. A comment provides information that it is possible to change from a free entry stamp to an ED visa directly, given certain conditions, including documentation from the school and a minimum time remaining on the current stamp.

you can change a free entry stamp to a 90 day ED visa inside the country with documentation from the school at the immigration office where you live for 2000baht.
BUT
you need a minimum of 15 days left on the current stamp to do it because the application goes under review before you go back to get the ED visa and new 90 day stamp inked in
There is no change to Non-O wait stuff, you're applying for the ED visa straight off a free stamp entry.
