Hello all,

Can you please advise or rather confirm if this is correct:

We are UK passport holders, currently on a SETV visa (60 days + 30 days extension) with extension coming to an end.

If I understood the rules correctly, we should be able to do a border run to Burma by land and enter for 30 days with no problem?

Many thanks in advance,

Makpal

TLDR : Answer Summary
UK passport holders currently on a SETV visa can indeed perform a border run to Burma and potentially receive a 30-day entry stamp. This can be done twice a year by land, with the recommendation to use the Mai Sai crossing from Chiang Mai. Furthermore, it's possible to extend this 30-day entry by an additional 30 days at a local immigration office, provided eligibility under visa exemption regulations.

You can get 30 days by land twice a year. Easiest from CM is Mai Sai. After that you need to do it by air.

Depending by your nationality, but probably you are eligible to enter with a "visa exemption" 30 day stamp, that you can extend again by 30 more days at local Immigration
