Good morning everyone. My wife is on tourist visa in Thailand. Can she change it to Medical visa ? She s pregnant and we want to deliver in Bangkok (due end of decembre).

Bumrungrad has a department specifically for getting visa extensions for medical reasons, and is a very reputable hospital. Otherwise Tod admin of this group mentioned they're hard to get.

I guess you like to be there to, so you must have a long stay solution, apply for her to be dependent on a foreigner with long stay.

Thanks to both of you. I am here to do research, but it will take time before I can get a long term visa, not being yet affiliated to a Thai University yet. I am a french national, and I need to travel outside Thailand. So no issue for my visa, but indeed, she cannot travel, and she is Indian. Not sure on what visa to apply for a long term (high skill?).

speak to the hospital about her being "unfit to travel" and providing her with the paperwork. But be aware that most airlines allow 8 month pregnant women to fly, so you might be out of luck.
