My other half is returning from Russia soon and wants to bring her cat. Trying to find info is sketchy, at best.

Anyone know if it’s possible for either the cat to quarantine with her anywhere, or can I pick up the cat while she’s whisked away to her ASQ?

Answer summary

The conversation discusses the logistics of bringing a cat into Thailand from Russia as the owner undergoes Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ). It confirms that the cat can be collected from the airport and that options like using a pet hotel are available for the quarantine period. Participants also reference general inquiries about pet import regulations and experiences from other expats who have brought animals into Thailand.

Yes you can pick up from airport. Or she can book with pet hotel. You just can not have contact with her.

when she arrives at the airport after she pays for the pet import permit all she has to do is let staff know that family will be picking up the animal and they will arrange someone to take the animal to you right outside of the airport

Thanks very much mate! Easy to find info for normal pre-pandemic conditions but struggled with the present rules. Much appreciated!

There have been quite a few posts about bringing pets in recently. Either wait or use scroll or search

I think someone asked a very similar question recently. I think the conclusion was if the cat is frozen then there should be no issues.
