What are the requirements for bringing a dog to Thailand, quarantine rules for unvaccinated children, and visa options for starting a business in Phuket?
Hello everyone I got a few questions that I need answers too below
1) I will be traveling with a dog from Cyprus to Phuket the dog is originally from USA but also has a Eu pet passport. How hard will it be to bring him into Thailand
2) Me and my wife are vaccinated and my 4 year old is not. Will there be any quarantine that will have to do?
3) when we arrive we’re looking to live in Phuket for a little while and start a small business there ( Again we’re USA passport holders). What visa option is best?
Thank you all so much

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster has multiple questions regarding bringing their dog from Cyprus to Phuket, potential quarantine for their unvaccinated child, and suitable visa options for starting a business in Thailand. Responses indicate that bringing pets may require checking with local hotels and quarantine specifics, while the Phuket Sandbox has no quarantine for vaccinated travelers and some exceptions for children. For business, they mention options under the Amity Treaty for US citizens, alongside the need for a non-B visa and extensions.
1) no idea as I haven't brought any pets here but check with your hotel whether you can keep pets in them. ASQ in Bangkok was a hard no for pets and they have quarantine places specially for pets or you could arrange for someone to pick the pet up at the airport. Not sure on Phuket but I'm sure someone will report back on their experience with pets and Phuket sooner rather than later.
2) All will do the 14 days and be able to go out and about per the rules in place. I believe 4 year olds don't need an RT-PCR test either which is good news.
3) Amity Treaty I believe it's called. I'm not sure of the ins and outs as it's specifically for American nationals and I'm not American but this makes your life a bit easier compared to non-Americans when trying to set up a business. I believe you may still need a non-B visa and an extension of stay based on employment.
